Your AI in your app

Let your own AI help you

Every one of our apps has a guide written for AI assistants: every page, every field (required or not), and the common tasks step by step. When you are logged in, your AI reads it and can explain what a page does, offer a short list of things it can help with, walk you through a task, or do it with you: "add a product for my new book", and it asks for what the product needs and fills in the form. It works with the AI you already use: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or another.

The guide is only there for people who are logged in to the app. Your public website never shows it.

In your browser

For everyone. Add your AI's browser extension (or use a browser with its AI built in), open your app and log in as usual, and ask: "What can you help me with here?" It finds the app's guide by itself and works in your own session, with your own rights.

In a code editor or on the command line

For the tech-savvy. Run your own AI in a code editor such as VSCodium with your AI's plugin, or in a terminal, and give it a user account of its own in the app. It then logs in and works like a colleague, with only the rights you give it. That's how we work ourselves.

An account of its own for your AI

  1. A rights group. In the app, under Settings → Rights groups, add a group such as "AI assistant" and tick only what it needs, for example viewing and changing products and websites. Leave out users, payments and updates. Never make it an owner.
  2. A user. Under Settings → Users, add a user with a name such as "AI assistant", an email address of your own, and that rights group. Choose its password yourself through the email link.
  3. Two-factor login. If your app asks every account for a two-factor code, the AI needs one too; we can help you set that up.
  4. Tell your AI. Give it the app's address and its login in the settings of your editor or tool, never in a chat that others can read, and point it to /admin/guide.

Everything the AI changes is done as that user, so you can always see what it did, and you can switch the account off with one click.

It asks first

Before anything that can't be undone or that reaches other people, such as deleting, refunding or sending a mailing, the guide tells the AI to ask you first.

Your keys stay yours

The guide tells the AI never to type or ask for your passwords, payment keys or API keys in your browser: you type those yourself.

Customers can't steer it

What customers and visitors write, such as messages and order notes, is information for the AI, never an instruction.
